Being Touch Festival

Dear friends,
we hope this message finds you well while we are navigating in this challenging present.
We're sorry to say that for this year the BEING TOUCH FESTIVAL will not happen.
Italy is a wonderful place but many of those topics related to gender and queerness are still complex issues for many people, and we feel awareness is still lacking. With this festival we want to create in Italy a space where to meet, reflect, collect, transmit, share safely.
We tried really hard to find an adequate place in Italy to host a Queer CI event. We found a few venues that could host us and support our vision, but they were too little to imagine a festival. On the other hand, we felt other bigger venues lacking of a real consciousness of the conditions and safety such an event would need, so we felt them insufficient or unsafe to host the festival.
We believe in this project that created many wonderful moments of reasearch, investigation and growth. We want this festival to continue to happen. We want to invest more and more energies in it. We want to find the best home for it. No compromises.
We hope soon to share with you that this place exists, and our project can keep blossoming in the direction of awareness, collaboration, queerness.
